Blue Fox Entertainment has secured a U.S. theatrical release for 'Holy Days,' marking Nat Boltt's directorial debut. The film stars Judy Davis, Miriam Margolyes, Jacki Weaver, and rising talent Elijah Tamati. It's a comedic adventure set in New Zealand, where an unlikely group embarks on a quest. Davis, Weaver, and Margolyes play unconventional elderly nuns on a road trip with a young boy (Tamati) to retrieve his late mother from heaven. Their journey is filled with unexpected twists and turns, leading to a powerful bond of faith and friendship. Based on a novel by Dame Joy Cowley, 'Holy Days' is a Canada-New Zealand production, financed by various organizations, including the New Zealand Film Commission and Telefilm Canada. The film will premiere at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on February 5th, followed by releases in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. Blue Fox will continue to shop the film to foreign buyers at Sundance and the European Film Market in Berlin.
