They're enlisting the help of NBA stars to debut these new designs, and the Air Jordan 4020 is no exception. Miami Heat's Bam Adebayo gave us our first glimpse of this exciting new model during a game against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Air Jordan 20, which originally dropped in 2005, celebrated Michael Jordan's 20-year partnership with Nike, Inc. The shoe featured a unique laser-etched strap inspired by MJ's career milestones. It's the only Air Jordan model to make laser detailing a central design element, although a laser-detailed Jordan 3 did appear earlier for MJ's 40th birthday in 2003. The Air Jordan 20 experienced a strong revival in 2015 for its 10th anniversary, keeping the model in the public eye.
Like other noteworthy hybrid models, such as the Jordan 4016 and 4028, the 4020 skillfully incorporates Air Jordan 20 elements into a contemporary design. The laser-etched strap, a signature feature, takes center stage, presented here in a clean white-on-white finish. White patent leather covers the forefoot, contrasted by a black heel and a patterned red interior.
